I'm Malik Adegbola, an art director and brand designer growing into creative direction. I help companies figure out how they look, sound, and feel, and then I build the system that keeps it consistent everywhere. I care most about the thinking behind the work, not just making things look good. Anyone can make something pretty, and everything is getting easier to make and harder to tell apart. The harder, more valuable part is deciding what's worth making in the first place, and having the judgment to know when it's right.

My work at Autodesk spans two identities. I created the foundation for Hello Yellow, the company's new brand identity, and built its employer brand, Autodesk Life, from scratch, the way Autodesk tells its own story to the people who work there. I built the systems that keep both consistent, and directed the designers and agencies who helped build them out. Independently, I build brands and digital products, for other people and for myself. I use AI for campaigns, short film, and imagery, and the edit takes most of my time.

Outside the work, I'm a photographer. I shoot on a small Fujifilm, natural light, quiet frames. I pay attention to the things most people walk past, like fashion, music, and the way a space is put together, and that same eye shows up in everything I design. Every weekday I share a short creative brief on what's happening in design and culture. It keeps my own eye sharp, and it's a way to give something useful back to people who don't have time to go find it.

Right now I'm building my own things, starting with a new identity for my name. I'm based in Canada and open to relocation. If you're working on something that could use a real point of view, I'd love to hear about it.
